What to See 

The Choke Mountains boast beautiful landscapes, including majestic mountain ranges, cascading rivers, and picturesque waterfalls. As a vital water source, the area is traversed by 59 rivers and 273 streams, earning its reputation as the “water tower” of the Upper Blue Nile Basin. Additionally, the region is a haven for biodiversity, hosting over 85 species of plants and birds, many of which are endemic to Ethiopia.

Getting There 

Choke Mountains Ecovillage is located 300 km from Addis Ababa and can be accessed via the town of Debre Markos using a four-wheel drive, which takes 7 hours.
